Electronics Stores in the GTA ( LED's )

494 Views 11 Replies 10 Participants Last post by  swtVW
I need a place that sells a wide variety of LED's for a project I am working on. I guess could go to Radio Hack and ask the lanky summer job employed teen who will stare blankly at me as I ask questions. But I was hoping someone here knew of better place that stocked more options and had knowledgable staff. Thanks for any replies!

Sayal Electronics is on Vic Park Road just before Gordon Baker RD on your right hand side. Make a left on Gordon Baker, and you'll see Electrosonic on yoour right hand side. You can also order online-

Re: Electronics Stores in the GTA (3-THREE-7)

Isn't that, or wasn't that electrosonic?
If so, they carry everything. Unfortunately, for some items, they require a minimum order... which can be quite high.

No, actually, Sayal is almost across the street...more of a diagonal. I am not sure about e-sonic's stock, but I would give Active a call. It always amazes me the amount of uh, stuff they can fit in that place. it looks a little disorganized when you walk in, but just be patient...often will find what you are looking for.

I was in Sayal today - I saw some leds, the most powerful ones I saw were 2000 mc @ 6.30 each. I'm sure they can get them though.

AA Electronics 1350 Matheson Blvd just east of Dixie in Miss.
Have superbright blues whites & greens, now down to $1.50 ea I believe.
They also have lotsa um, "uncle ben's" LED accessories with bright LED's in 'em, might be cheaper to buy some & scavenge for parts depending what you have in mind.
Eg, I bought a 2-pack of white 4 LED clusters wired for 12V use for $11.95. No fuss no mess

Edit: AA is in Unit 8...there are several electronics places in a line in the same strip on the north side of Matheson...

I've used those washer LEDs for some small interior lighting http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

they are perfect, beacuse it already has the housing and the ways to mount it
