I have the air box off, and the stock TIP completely disengaged from the turbo housing. However, there is not enough room to pull the stock TIP out of the engine compartment. There seems to be a black metal coolant line next to the stock TIP that is not allowing clearance to remove. The Neuspeed directions say to loosen this line with an 8mm Hex but I can't figure out where to do that.
Immediate advice would be greatly appreciated as I feel I am just about home free.

rtfm!
there's a 8mm hex bolt on the block you can loosen the bracket that holds that metal coolant line. you don't have to totally remove it.
it's in the directions

The 8mm bolt is completely blind on the NB....but it was the secret to the install. I had to remove the bolt from the top, place the TIP 90% of the way from the top, get back under and two hand gently "pull" the coolant pipe to the side. The TIP fell into place at that point. That was after an hour of saying the "F" word. And trust me, you say it that many times it loses it's meaning. The rest of the car went together in 10 min. I got lucky with replacing the 8mm bolt. Blind install, I got the bolt in on the third try. My buddy tried to get thet 8mm in for over 1/2 an hour. Good Luck.
Amir @ Neuspeed states that the instructions are a general idea, not written in stone. He told me to do the NB it should be done from the bottom. That's not what it says in the instruction.
STFU about RTFM. Not everyone here has the same skill levels.

Ok, I got it. It is the bolt I circled in red. I loosened it and sure enough I got the clearance to take the stock TIP out. Thanks all for the encouragement. I will keep this thread updated until I finish.

When i put mine on my 2000, i didn't have to loosen the bolt until i installed the Neuspeed tip. (Digital Candy) I would like to know what digital camera you have. The pictures you post look great! http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Well after 3 hours, I finally got it installed. It was somewhat of a pain in the ass because it was my first mod of any kind on a car. Now that I have done it, I can see it taking only 45-60 minutes.
In all, I don't feel a noticeable increase in power. I only got to go around the block and tested up to 3rd gear. Maybe 4th and 5th gears will yield something more noticeable.

Good job, when I did mine it was the same PITA. It was Jolf that encouraged me when he did his, had it sitting in the box for about 3 weeks...

Digital, what happened to doing this as a group?!
J/K man!
I couldn't wait either and since I have no room to wrench on my car, I paid a mechanic to do it. It took the pro a full hour, w/lots of cussing, so don't feel too bad.

pro didn't know what he was doing. Honestly just remove your intake and airbox 2 bolts 1 clip on TIP, Remove DV, N75 and CCV valve. go under the car and remove 1 allen bolt that holds the TIP on and the N75 hose on the TIP. With a lift it should take about 30 minutes.
