well, the wife's B5 (1.8T) just set off the emmision workshop light...
I did a search, and the only info I gathered pertained to a gas cap being loose, or the fuel tank overfilled...neither of which is the cause.
what else could cause the EW light??
thanks~

Re: 'emmision workshop' light?? (dzlpar)

This happened to me, and I fixed it with a fill up. ;-)
I put in a high quality fuel injector cleaner, and filled up the gas tank, and put the gas cap on securely.
And then waited......
And now my wife tells me that it stopped beeping and flashing the Emissions Workshop light. Took about 5 days while we're waiting for our appointment slot at the dealer.
Best Regards

Early on I had this happen a few times. Tightening the gas cap fixed the problem. It was about 4 or 5 days before the light went out.
Most recently I had this happen and it turned out my secondary air purge valve needed replacing.
