What do you all think of the 2.0 badge? Any pics? Also, when sticking it on the rear of the car, how do you get it in the proper spot. Is it best to use a yard stick to make sure it lines up w/the Golf/Jetta badge. Not sure how they do this in body shops.

Re: Euro Badging (JWHITE)

I would recommend measuring from the seam on the trunk lid and the edge of trunk. Then use tape to mark a level horizontal line and another piece of tape as the vertical edge. That way, when you place the badge, you can look through the clear "window" that holds the badge together once you remove the piece off the sticky backing, and looking through the window, you can line up the badge with the two tape lines. Remove the tape, and your done, and correctly positioned.

I got one one mine, I like it. I see a lot of 2.0's here, but none with the 2.0 badge. I just tried to measure mine evenly as I could before I stuck it. It looks good, sorry no pics though.
Re: Euro Badging (haunted reality)

I might take some pics of the "2.0" badge tommorow.

Not the greatest pictures but ok I guess.

I visualized it, held it up on the trunk where i wanted it, had my wife make sure it was ok and then I just peeled the back off the 2.0 badge and looked at the trunk where I wanted it and voila!
Measured it after and it's perfectly level with the lines of the top trunk and same distance as the Jetta is on the left side.
It's easy.

I used a chalk string and lined it up undr the "bora" and snaped it, this makes a nice blue chalk line right across, then attach on blue line on opposite side. bang you done

Thanks JWhite

orieatvt ~ I remember those pix you posted a while back. I may end up doing the same you did but at least for now, having the 2.0 is kinda neat. I haven't seen any others round town with one on.
