eurosport exhaust fitment?

i have a '01 GTI, but i plan to eventually put on the newer rear valance (2002.5+ model) that have the visible tip cutouts. I have been looking at exhaust systems and i may want to go with the older Eurosport 2.25" CB system for my car. Now i know that this exhaust was designed with the older (non-cutout) car models in mind, so how good would the fitment be with the newer valance. I'm thinking since it was intended to go under the valance it may hang too low down and not fit snug into the cut-out.
Anyone that has this system and either has a newer model GTI or has the valance off of a newer model please help me out.
