Go with AMS, at least you will get your blower completly and with no problems on shiping.........
Re: EuroTech Racing S/C or AMS?? (Vento FI)

i live in tampa, so i will just go pick it up.
Re: EuroTech Racing S/C or AMS?? (VR6'n)

are both the kits identical? do they both use the same blower and stuff?? I didnt think AMS used the V2? I could be wrong....anybody
Re: EuroTech Racing S/C or AMS?? (CLUMKIS)

not sure email les at [email protected]
Re: EuroTech Racing S/C or AMS?? (VR6'n)

the kit is almost exactly the same the v2 is an upgrade from les which ams doesnt do. i have the eurotech kit with a v1.
Re: EuroTech Racing S/C or AMS?? (EatinRice)

what do you run in the 1/4
Re: EuroTech Racing S/C or AMS?? (VR6'n)

i never ran it in the 1/4 but i can tell you its is in the mid 12's to 13 flat.

No way in hell. I would bet more like 13.2-13.8 range. Mid 12's would require a lot of power, these charges just dont produce that much.

I have the Eurotech with the V2 blower. I would highly recommend the upgrade, it sounds much nicer. But only go with Eurotech if you can actually physically go to their shop and get the kit! I heard many bad things about les and feel lucky that I actually got my kit here in Cali. As far as 1/4 mile... no way can you run a mid 12 - 13 flat with just the kit! I went to the track shortly after having the kit installed and ran a sad 14 flat with the belt slipping and no traction. I wouldn't recommend racing the car with just the kit installed though. Both AMS and Eurotech kits run quite lean past 6000 RPM which can be very dangerous to the engine. I'm still working on my fuel system. There are several solutions to getting the fuel there, but that's a whole nother topic

Ok so you dont think so well there was a guy that ran 13.00 with 8.5 psi gutted of course
stock with chip and exhaust he ran 14.1 i ran 14.0 with chip and exhaust @99.8 I was running 15psi pully ALC injection Cartech fmu and almost gutted and you dont think it was in the 12's
Arron the guy with the 13.00 car ran 12.3 with a 50 shot and a 11 psi pully.
Well not sure i think i would have made it

This past weekend a friend of mine ran a 13.1 with a #12 pulley, BUT he also has dsr 256's, a p+p big valve head, exhaust, a quaife, and he is a pretty damn good driver. As for a mid 12 second pass, I would like to see it. Oh yea this was a Eurotech based kit.

I know who you are talking about and yes his car is fast.
My car went 13.21 last time at the track and the motor is bone stock!
And also my car is a jetta and weighs just a few more lb's.
I will be at speed world wednesday night if anyone wants to come out. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

I'm not saying a supercharged vr6 cant get into the 12's, i'm just saying a stock motor with the standard pulley isn't going to. Is your jetta the one with imaculate paint- black I think it was? By the way those are some impressive numbers. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Yes that was my car, and I went 13.35 on the stock pulley.
I am still tuning the 12 psi set up.
This is so much fun!!
Re: EuroTech Racing S/C or AMS?? (4th 020)

You also have to remember that KingVr ran that 13.1 sec pass on 17" wheels, and street tires. his 60 foot time was a 2.35. On drag radials he usually pulls a 60 ft time of 1.9 sec. Obviously a 12.6 or so is definitely possible using drag radials, or slicks. If he took some weight out of that car, I'm sure would be closer to low 12's

I know that he could too, but for argument sake I didn't want to get into the "he could do this or he could do that". Im just saying that mid 12's are not going to happen with a stock engine and a standard pulley.
