everyone with the EVO CAI. Do u notice this?

ive had mine for 2 nights now, last night i really didnt notice this as much but here it is.......do your intakes sound like their Blowing instead of making a sucking sound? like i mean do they make this sound when u r givin the car like partial throttle and not tryin to like move really fast but just like under normal driving, it sounds like the just blowing, it is loud as hell and very annoying, ive herd many other intakes b4 on 1.8t's and none make this sound? could it be cuz it was cold (30 degrees) out tonight? mabey its cuz i dont have an exhaust or DP? the sound totally goes away and sounds normalwhen you really get on the throttle but still.........other mods done to my car are APR chip and turboXs h25 bov running as a DV........please tell me what u think...

I would say what your hearing is normal. I noticed it on my Autohtority intake, and just 2 days ago i purchased the EVO intake, and everything was the same.
At partial throttle you can hear the filter sucking in air, and it does sound like its blowing instead.
Everythings fine....it could just be that the filter is so much larger then others that its bringing in more air and its a little more audible.

Not that im aware of. It shouldnt be that loud, unless your driving with your radio off and your windows up.
I actually dont even notice it anymore.

I just switched to a 006 Forge DV from a Bailey.
The BOV sound is greatly reduced (thankfully) and I'll post up the "suck-blow" changes when I drive it later today.

The sound isn't directly because of the intake. It's indirectly from the DV, you're just hearing more because of the intake.
The DV vents not just at throttle-let-off, but even at partial throttle. That's what you are hearing.

Mine sucks when getting on the throttle
and blows when letting off.
