everyone's opinions on best exhaust please
alright well i am about to be sending off my forced motion exhaust since it was not what i am looking for. a 3 inch is a little to much for me and my ko3 is what i have come to conclude. so i would like to know from everyone what they would suggest. my ideas are as follows:
1. brullen, apr , or techtonics 2.5 turbo back.
2. 3inch dp to a 2.5 catbach such as autotech
3. custom 2.5 turbo back piping to a remus muffler
i would like to know suggestions to peoples thoughts on the best performance with a 2.5 catback. i would also like info on the tdi mid pipe ie how big is it and would that and a remus muffler be a full cat back? thanks for any in put thoughts and such.

i was talking about an after market remus muffler .. a performance one or just a remus muffler but am definatley not talking about the aftermarket muffler offered from the dealer. i am thinking a 2.5 inch piping remus muffler to dual 2.5 tips

i was checking out the supersprint turbo back. but have been told it has not been made for the jetta and is not planned yet for thejetta anytime soon. unless i am wrong?

has anyone done the 3inch dp to 2.5 autotech? if so where did u find the connector to make the dp and hf cat match to the 2.5 exhaust system? this is just an option so i am trying to investigate all possiblities at this point to make the right choice. thanks guys. this exhaust is going to be part of my evo intake, forge dv, abd turbo inlet and lower ic pipe, giac chip, then whatever exhaust i pick and im hoping to get 200+ wheel hp from my aww. so im trying to find the best exhaust to get me there to finish off my performance mods on my ko3. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

I'm waiting for the Miltek catback when it comes out for the Jetta to match up with the 3"dp/hfc from fm. I want to go this route since i've heard that Miltek is a very solid system and has a low rumble and quiet. Option #2 is the Autotech Catback. I think these are two top notch 2.5"catback system on the market. I think this route is the same as having 2.5"tuboback (apr,brullenoratp), but probably a little better and is much better than the 3" turboback due to much quieter. As for Brullen, the price is great, but it might be too loud for me.

3" is not too much for the 1.8t engine or turbo. More then likely he doesn't like the sound...

I'm in the process of releasing a 2 1/2" DP W/High Flow Cat and a 2 1/2" Mandrel Bent cat back system W/Magnaflow resonator and muffler...The tips are your choice......Release date will be early March...anyone interested in evaluating a system can PM or c[email protected]

well for one yes the sound is a little to loud sometimes. but i mean its too much for my car when it makes my car "burrbble"" to the point where people say it sounds nasty and to the point where the car is over boosting and causing more hassle than i feel its worth for the performance gains. i could be totally wrong. but my decision was made to sell the exhaust and go another route and then i will be able to know for myself if a lesser system feels the same as the big one did. but i feel back pressure is needed and will also help quiet down the system with a smaller system im hoping. magnaflow maybe nice and all but i think magnaflow is a little loud for my taste. im not sure of brullen but from some sounds clips i have heard it sounds deeper than my fm did and thats a + in my preferance. so any more thoughts or comments for me?

A neighbor of mine has a A4 w/ a 1.8t engine, chipped and with an exhaust he calls a "Bora". It sounds great and not too loud!!! Has anyone ever heard of this exhaust?

Sounds like your friend has a speech issue. He most likely means "Borla". It is a very popular exhaust maker and they make good products.Re: everyone's opinions on best exhaust please (einsig)
If sound is a big concern, you might want to wait for the upcoming 2.75" Jetex setup. ND is testing one on a chipped Jetta wagon and another is going on my car hopefully this week. My reasons for going with them was sound and I wanted something bigger than 2.5".
