Well, I decided that I am going to purchase a new exaust from techtonics, the only problem is deciding if I want 2.25 inch diameter or the 2.5 inch diameter. Which size will fit on my stock G60 cat? Also, is the stainless borla exaust worth the extra money compared to the Aluminized Borla Exaust? One last question, One resonator or two? Thanks for your time. Mark

Re: Exaust (YellowC)

I can only comment on my experience with the 2.5" on a 97 VR6 GTi. I think aluminzed is more than fine as long as you do not live in a area where they heavily salt the roads. Also, I had the 2 resonators and went to one because I felt the 2 resonators were too quite. Great Exaust. Don't forget you will have to buy a tip unless you do not mind the look of a bare plain straight pipe.
Good luck....

Re: Exaust (vrsmooth)

For a g60, unless you've got lots of crazy modifications, I'd stick with the 2.25" exhaust. The 2.5" is overkill, and IMHO, sounds worse.
The material choice is dictated by the environment and frequency of your driving - if you drive often or live in an area with a lot of sand or salt, I'd go stainless. The stainless will also have a little bit different sound.

Buy my 2.5" techtonics stainless. It has about 4 months of use on it, I have a toddler so it's too loud for me. It sounds nice and mean but to me, the Corrado is not a race car, it's more for comfort.
$300 for
2.5" stainless techtonics tuning cat back with Borla muffler and single resonator.
Techtonics free flow catalytic converter.
2 ft glass pack I put in mid-pipe.
2 ft 2.5" SS pipe to replace glass pack when you get it inspected.
3" SS tip I added.
everything fits a stock G60.

That is a Schweet deal from what I see, and I have to chuckle 2' 2.5" SS pipe for inspection.

That is a very good price for a 2.5 TT SS Borla http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
But I'm with SaabFan 2.5" is too large unless you are running a stage 5++ or turbo G60.
