I NEED HELP!!!
I have a 97 VR6 that originally came with an alarm. When I bought the car (used) I was told that the alarm was taken out. I bought it with an aftermarket radio and have since put in another radio. The alarm Question is that I think the alarm was never fully taken out because when I lock the doors (outside-- when it should trigger the alarm) the fuse blows.
Any alarm wiring diagrams or help please

It is hard to say what is wrong without seeing what wires have been severed and or spliced in the attempt install the stereo and remove the alarm. The alarm module is virtually plug and play. You just pull out the module itself (behind the left side dash vent), but I don't know if this would affect the central locking system.
To upgrade to the VW keyless system, there is a different module that gets plugged in and then a few power wires need to be spliced. As for the radio, there is a lead to the stock radio that carries a signal for the alarm. If this wire is pliced into anything it shouldn't be, you will have problems.
Sorry I can't be much help, but hopefully this will give some ideas what to look for.
