You probably have a faulty switch somewhere. Mine was doing the same thing. Turned out it was the switch in the rear hatch. There is a switch in the hood latch, rear trunk /or hatch, and one in each door. The ones in the doors, however, are part of the whole lock assembly. If it is one of them it can get kind of pricey.
My friend found out which switch was faulty by using his Vag-Com.
