fan is going on and off

hey my rad fan last month or so goes on and only for 10 secs then stop comes on like 2 mins later it'll go on for only couple secs again. What could be problem?

Check the thermal; switch...on A2's its on the lower right of the Radiator, that's the most common problem I have had with my cars...
