We get a lot of questions in this forum asking what products people use. So, I thought it would be good if we had a large master list of the products that we use and where we use them. That way, instead of a new thread daily, people can check here to see what products people recommend for different situations.
The only things that should be posted in this thread are products that you use and limited related questions. Product arguments will not be tolerated. I you have beef with a suggestion, IM the poster.
Products I use…
I am in the detailing business so I have to keep my costs low, but I also have to use products that work well and will not harm the vehicle. So, I use and buy products that are cheap, safe and effective. I own many more products, but these are the products I have found that get the job done and they are the ones that I normally use not only on my clients cars, but my own cars as well.

Klasse AIO I use for everything. Cleaning jewelry & things around the house, windows on the car, etc. Just used it to clean a fiberglass tub/shower surround last nite :-D
303 Protectant you can also use for a ton of stuff around the house, I think they have a bunch of uses on their website. I like stuff that does double duty!
I also like those plastic pry tool things with a beveled edge, couldn't find a pic, but it works like a plastic razor - kind of like the scraper they give you with Goo Gone but heavier duty.
Razor blades for getting residue off of windows and everything else
Prep-Sol
Jelly blade scraper thing for drying windows
Husky 1000w halogens
Spray bottles for different dilutions of APC
I use 2 sheepskin mitts for washing- one for top half of the car, one for the bottom; & use two buckets (usually) & grit guard
Rubbermaid or Playtex gloves - the tall ones - great for washing in the wintertime, and when using Bleche-White/APC

Perfectly fine. I hope more people post in here so other people can use it as a guide. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: FAQ - What Products Do You Use? (67Customs)

I own the Passat 2.0T. The silver colored trim (exterior) that surrounds each door window has lost much of its shine. Got scrathces as well. Tried to restore the shine with just a regular car wash, but to no avail. I am pretty sure it is plastic, rather than chrome. What would you recommend so I can restore that nice shine again. I really don't want to use a product that will do more harm than good.
