Guys, I have a newfound respect for the VW/Audi 1.8 Turbo's. I was at the GTG in Herndon and I saw this Green VW Golf with Maryland plates and a Turbo Performance Center license plate cover.. That is, I saw it for about 10 seconds while it pulled away from me on the Dulles Toll Road. Now my car runs in the low 13's, but this Golf pulled away from me at around 70 miles an hour.
Whoever you are, tell Mike at TPC that Swami may have to bring the TwinZ out of retirement!
See you at the next GTG!!!
It's the only rave green GTI i can think of, hella greens out back, Jetta front end... but even with nitrous, I don't think he could beat a low 13sec car.. so I'm thinking it had to be someone else. Besides, why would he spray coming off a toll road?
which gtg in herndon? the one @ worldgate on saturday? i don't think shaun was at that, but i left early... (i don't remember another rave grreen gti there)
shaun was running 14.6 before the nos. not sure if that'd bump him down that low in the 13's, but if he caught the guy by surprise anything is possible.

If Sean is the guy I remember talking to, I remember him telling me that he sprayed nitrous while driving on the street all the time... and goddamn there's nothing wrong with that...
Shaun wasn't at the Herndon GTG. Plus, he's got to take it easy on his car, he just had a Quaife installed when he fixed his little no first gear problem, and at the same time he had a clutch installed. 500 mile break in period means no hard driving. Plus, he's selling or sold his N20 already.
