Feeler: '97 Jetta GLX VR6 // Sequoia Green // 173k // $3000 obo

this car is sold.

As the title states, this is just a feeler. I recently had a 3rd gen 4runner handed down to me and I don't think I'll be able to have 3 cars so it looks like this one may have to go. I didn't have it for very long (under 6 months). Its a great car, runs strong, pulls hard, etc. All maintenance was performed by the PO minus the eurosport headsheild/k&n filter and spark plugs & wires. Here's some info:

- 97 Jetta GLX Sequoia Green w/ 173k miles tan leathers EDIT: just rolled to 173k
- 2.9L clone VR manifold
- B&G coilovers
- magnaflow exhaust
- plugs & wires replaced less then 500 miles ago
- alternator replaced
- control arm bushings replaced
- aftermarket chip (i forget the brand name at the moment)
- chains & clutch replaced less then 5k miles ago
- newer 5 spd trans installed
- cross drilled rotors with new pads
- smoked e-codes
- will come with brand new VR lip from BFI
- 15" BBS RZs tires have greater than 75% tread left
- eurosport strut tower bar
- eurosport heatsheild w/ new K&N cone filter
- clifford aftermarket alarm system
- PO converted car to a GL look so no fogs, amber tails and side markers

the good:
- i originally got this car because i wanted another VR but since I was able to get a 4runner seems as if the truck is more practical for me. the car runs strong, no grinding gears, reverse works fine, no weird mechanical noises, all window regulators and motors work perfectly, heat & ac work fine. car pulls hard and runs strong

the bad:
- the best part about this car is the motor and maintenance, hence the reason i wanted this car in the first place so that said, cosmetically the car could use some lovin'. the previous previous owner originally ran wide mercedes wheels and looks as though he/she attempted to roll/pull the fenders. the front fenders and rear passenger side quarter panel came out fine however the driver side is a little banged up. there's also a dent in the passenger side rocker right before the rear wheel, looks like the PO jacked the car up in the wrong spot but the good thing is it doesn't effect the door from opening and closing. there's also a small wrinkle on the driver side between the rear door and tail light (barely noticeable). other then that the car could use a good detailing although the paint is still very shiny.
- the PO decided to keep his head unit so currently there is no head unit in the car. He also ran an aftermarket stereo system so rca cables, speaker wire, etc are ran from the front to the back of the car.
- there's a rip in the driver seat on the seam all other seats are mint

Overall I give this car a 7/10 its a great car in that the major maintenance has been done, I've had no problems with this car since I've gotten it. Its a great start to a project car with light mods already done.

thanks for looking!

since this is a feeler, I'll post the pics that I have. I can take more pics no problem just shoot me your email and I'll do the best I can to get some pics.

NOTE: CAR DOES NOT COME WITH MERC WHEELS
