I have to change my haldex oil. Has anybody filled their haldex through the oil level check hole. It seams easier if you use a hose. I all ready see a problem fill the oil from the drain hole which is recomended in the manual. if I use the cheap calk gun, i'm going to have clearence problem even if I have my car as high as I can go because of the rod of the calk gun.
Any suggestions?

Re: Filling your Haldex (4shizzy)

I used the check hole and the hose/tube setup (thanks pal & climbingcue) without any issues. keep the length of the tube to a minimum, As you'll end-up "losing" whatever remains in the tube at the end.
It was real easy and I avoided the mess that can be expected by filling through the drain hole.
See Ian's warning regarding the check hole nut in this thread: http://forums.thecarlounge.net...12397

how would you know if you knock the blind nut off? It seams ridiculous to have something that loose inside like that.

You'll know when the bolt won't thread

I didn't find it too hard on the three changes I did to put it in the drain hole, you just have to have the bolt ready and be quick- kind of like a game.
