Re: Filthy Tan leather.. suggestions?? (yellowslc)

There are other products, Lexol being a favorite to most around here, but cleaning leather sometimes takes several tries, requiring patience. I'd say go back and clean some more, and then some more after that. Griot's is a good product that should work. Certain stains and dirt just take multiple cleanings to get out completely.

Thanks for the input.. figured it would take a bunch of applications.. I have the lexol cleaner as well.. doesnt seem to pull the dirt like the griots does.. I was told tanners preserve?? I guess the cleaner is supposed to be good.. used to see it all the time but can't find it anywhere to even try it..

little essence BAM!!!!!! The key here is not to soak the leather....Take a soft horsehair brush and a tin of nice (DONT CHEAP ON ANYTHING) saddle soap. Take the brush dip it in your bucket of hot/warm water and then do circles in the tin gathering soap on the brush. Then lightly but firmly brush your car like your teeth. Little circles then with a damp towel wipe em down to remove ALL SOAP. Follow up with some lexol PH and that is it. Keep it natural.

Thanks to all..
The griots leather rejuvenator seems to be opening up the pores of the leather.. cracks are starting to fade.. this will just take some serious time..

Yeah lexol is good BUT the better product to use is Malco Leather and Plastic Cleaner (L&P for short) Cleans like a bitch and contains softeners unlike lexol whixh is ph balanced oly.
