It seems that as of recent, there is an incredible influx of mind-blowing builds that have come up for sale.  Blame it on the winter, or people simply looking to move on, but it is clearly a buyer's market.  This Mk2 Golf GTD is just the latest example of this observation, and that's why it's our Find of the Day.

Restored and modified to the most impressive OEM plus-spec in recent memory, this GTD has a lengthy list of updates and upgrades, making it possibly the closest to factory fresh car you'll find anywhere.  The current owner's exhaustive work has been chronicled in this build thread , where he details multiple stages of restoration and refurbishment, right down to the rubber pedal covers.  To top it off, there is a long list of performance modifications that ensure the car will perform up to snuff.

Now for the downside.  This car is currently for sale in Belgium, and as it was built in 1991, you can't technically import it to the states for another year.  To our friends abroad though, it's well worth the 12500€ ($14,500) asking price.
