I just dont get the black stripe down the side of these things. I think it really detracts from the car a lot and looks silly.
Is there a rational explanation for it I havent heard yet?
I also am bugged by the name, I keep getting it confused with the race car when someone mentions the "R8." To me, the only R8 was the one that dominated sportscar racing, I think they should have kept the Le Mans name or something else for this model. But hey, what do I know?

I think this car is friggin beautiful!! Haha one day I hope to be able to buy one. I dunno about that lol

Yes, there is. Try finding the original carlounge thread from which these pics have been taken from. There is a response by another member on the first page; he posted right above me and he explained it really well IMO.
