I need to flush out my oil........lots of crap in there.
Should i remove my oil pan an clean it out as well???
or just flush it and drain it through the hole????
also any particular brand of engine flush stuff that's recommended for VW's
Avoid engine flushes at all costs.
If you want to do a quick safe flush try this;
Change the oil and filter.
Run a 10w30 oil in there for 500 miles.
Do this again twice.
Your engine is now clean inside.
I saw alot of debris....not bits of metal(don't worry.)
It just looks dirty.....when i changed my pcv valve I saw alot of crap in that whole that the valve sits on....
I also changed my oil last month and 2 weeks later i did a test, and it was really dirty......
Oh ya an i do use M1
I recommend BG Prodcuts oil service. It's a pressurized system that flushed the system. A local Audi dealer in my area has the system, but if you call your local dealer ask for it by name or go to BGFINDASHOP.COM so see who around you uses the products.
Keep doing it, the detergents in the oil will clean everything out in time.
To save some cash I'd run a quality conventional oil in there until things got a little cleaner.
However, remember its the oil's job to get dirty. If its dirty, it means that its not letting dirt settle on parts inside the engine.
