Well the season is here. Haas has impressed me so far. New qualifying format is an absolute joke. Let's make this a good discussion this year! Enjoy

Jumping back in, but I've been out of it for longer than just a season it feels like. I think I caught *maybe* one race last year. Doesn't help that we cut cable a while back, but it's time to get rolling with the F1 races again.

Count me in.

I haven't had cable in years. Still watching every race! :p

Here are some thoughts about F1 2016:

1. Mercedes another title this year. Still think HAM's the man

2. Ferrari gonna lose a few more engines. Read somewhere that they had to cut back to conservative mode for China, just to be safe.

3. RB nibbling on the heals of Ferrari. They are due an engine upgrade and that will be interesting!

4. What happened to Williams?

5. Sauber has steadily been dropping down the grid. Perhaps its that God-awful paint job on their cars??

I agree on Mercedes, they are still the ones to beat. Nico seems to have finally woken up though, he is off to a good start and has some momentum, Lewis won't be down forever and I expect the battle between the 2 to be more intense as this season continues.

Ferrari will contend, they'll probably take a few races (Vettel, like Hamilton has had phenomenal drives to end up in the points or on the podium despite horrible starting positions) I agree on reliability, they need to fix that situation asap... Kimi has the worst luck sometimes.

Redbull is keeping the top 2 honest, they've got reliability locked down, and always seem to be closing in at the end of races.

Williams, Massa seems more consistent this season than Bottas...

I'll add, what's going on with Force India? New team Haas and Toro Rosso are out doing them so far.

The races so far have been exciting.

Am I the only one that thinks toro Rosso is better than red bull?
It sure looked like that in the first couple of races, but the RB surely is coming into its own since China. It's looking like they will be fighting with Ferrari right behind Mercedes. Iirc, RB is to get an engine upgrade in Montreal. I did read that Ferrari just used 3 tokens for another engine upgrade as well.
If Ferrari continues to have reliability problems and Renault's actually works, things could get pretty interesting......
