did a quick search, couldnt find anything.
Is there a service kit available for the front calipers on the r32? I have them off for some much needed tlc, obligatory stripping and cleaning but wondered if there was a kit available for them as there is with most brembo/porsche calipers?

Re: front caliper rebuild? (2Tall)

Do yourself a favor and order a set of Tyrolsport bushings. They are engineered to increase feel and power in the front brakes. As world class as the .:R brakes perform- this kit makes them better.
They need to be serviced once a year; Take them apart and regrease the steel bushings that come in the kit to replace the stock rubber ones. They are for just the front brakes and for the price are a great value... If you don't believe me, then just ask The Brake Whore!

Re: front caliper rebuild? (BLU R32)

I just installed the Tyrol bushing kit and it surely fixed an issue I had. Both sides of the calipers were not sliding in and out at the same time. And were making rubbing noises when slowing down I will post pics soon of how bad the stock rubber bushings were.
I had an issue that the bushing would not fit so I had to use the dremel to sand down the powdercoat and some of the caliper so the snap rings would fit. But the feel is excellent.
Word of advise buy the bushings from Tyrolsport right now because they are currently in stock. I had asked Mike for some time to find out when in stock. So hurry and get them because they do take a while to make.

Mine get serviced every time I change oil...then again I am running 10k between changes with no issues. Synthetic oil is friggin awesome. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
As for a rebuild kit, something should be available. Last time I rebuilt brakes it was nothing more than piston seals and o-rings.

Just seen this thread linked to from the TyrolSport website.
What's the difference between the black coated snap rings and the stainless ones? Will the stainless ones last longer? Its not just for looks is it? lol

The stainless will not rust. It's a lot of $$$ for the stainless rings but money well spent if you get this kit.
