Does anybody know why the new style cupholders (rev B) is not flushed with
the rest of the instrument panel when closed? The cupholder's door seems to
angle out a little bit. Is it me or do you experience it too?

Re: front cupholder (Wakaru)

Did you install this yourself, or did your car come with the Rev B?
Either way, check to make sure that cupholder assy is pushed all the way back so that both of the silver metalic clips (one on either side) are clipped into place. There's the possibility that the whole thing hasn't been properly seated into the divots for the clips.
Just a thought, because mine does sit flush.

Re: front cupholder (BoraVR6)

On my GTI, which comes with wood dash, the cupholder door angles out.
And on my Jetta, which I just installed the sport alu trim the same thing happens.
One being stock the other I put in myself, but the end result is I have a angled door. I checked the two clips on either end and they sit well into the divots so that couldn't be the problem. I think it is the actual cup holders inside the assembly that don't sit far back enough when pushed it so when I flip the door back down
the middle part of the cupholder (the stub that you push to make it pop out) is
causing the door to be slightly angled out. Any other advice?
Maybe a picture might help?
