FS: 1988 VW Jetta 2dr 2.0L crossflow NEW PRICE $6000cdn

FS: 1988 VW Jetta 2dr 2.0L crossflow
It's time to let it go. I love my car and it serves every purpose I need it for and more, but I am getting married and could use the money elsewhere. The car is a toy for me (as I have a company vehicle) and I have never used it as a daily driver, but my Dad drove it for a few months as one and it ran beautifully.
Anyway here is what it is.
- Alpine white almost original paint, one minor fender bender in it's life, other that that no accidents
- No sunroof
- Very minor rust
- clear and red taillights
- 320,000kms on the body
- OBD 1 2.0L 8v crossflow with aprox. 150,000kms
- 5 speed 8A tranny aprox. 50,000kms on rebuild
- GAIC chip
- k & n cone filter
- powersteering
- 16v radiator with dual fans
- shortshift with weighted shiftrod
Recently replaced parts
- clutch
- starter
- Optima yellow top deep cycle battery
- shifter bushings and linkage rebuild
- coolant hoses
- rear main motor mount
- BBM solid front mount
- cataletic converter
- mk3 10.1" front setup with crossdrilled rotors
- new mk4 rear calipers with crossdrilled rotors
- 23mm mastercylinder
- braided stainless front lines
- new rear disk proportioning valve
- dot 5 silicone fluid
- new KYB gas front struts, ball joints, upper strut mounts, tie rods, and wheel bearings
- new KYB rear shocks (in the box, not installed)
- lowering springs (cannot remember brand)
- new poly control arm bushings, rear beam bushings with poly inserts
- 25mm Autotech hollow front swaybar with new bushings
- 28mm Autotech hollow rear swaybar
- Autotech adjustable rear shock tie bar
- VW snowflake wheels refinished with blue backing and polished face.
- 195/60/14 Yokahama Avid H4 aprox. 45% tread left
- full Reccaro interior including door cards, front power and heated big boulsterd seats, rear bench with head rests
- momo shift knob
- currently has blue carpet and dash, but I have a black carpet and black dash for it.
- Alpine head unit
- Alpine 4 chanel amp
- Alpine type r 6.5" components with custom panel built for doors wrapped in black suead
- Alpine type r 6x9's built in a custom sealed box mounted under the rear deck, with the amp rack mounted to it facing the backseat, to totaly seperate the stereo from the trunk.
This car is very solid and I know it would be a great daily driver or toy. It is fast and reliable, and a very solid and clean car. I am the second owner, and when I bought the car it was completly stock, and it doesn't squeek and rattle like the common mk2's do.
I am looking to get around $6700CDN or $6000USD for it. I do have some extras like a Thule rack setup with fairing, and a set of Toyo Observe winters mounted on steel rims, available also.
There are probably things that I have missed so feel free to ask questions. PM me or call me 604-788-1511
I would like to arange final delivery for the end of July begining of August cause my fience is in town for the month of July and she will be driving it. I am flexable though.
Thanks for the interest
Oh and the car is in Vancouver, I can arange delivery if neccessary....
