I never thought I'd see the day where I would put my baby up for sale, but alas here it is. The sale is due to my need to move up to Northern California (and downsize to only one car), and for my need to buy a Porsche in the future :D

I purchased this car in 2005 with 48k miles on it. It was owned by an elderly man who had purchased it for his daughter as a graduation present from college. She apparently didn't like the car much (who knows why!) and so it sat for a good portion of it's life. Now it's been six years since I bought it, and it only has 9k more miles, so I didn't drive it much. It currently has 57,3xx original miles. It has always been in a garage and most of the time while it has been in the garage, it has been under a car cover as well.

Here are the pictures:

ENGINE:

-Fully sorted engine with a stage 3 SCCH head done by Jarod Legsdin. TT 268/276 cams with Supertech oversized valves, HD springs, titanium retainers and lightweight lifters. Lightened IM shaft, pulleys, etc., port-matched and smoothed (by Jarod Legsdin, SCCH) euro 50mm intake manifold, Eurosport air box, TT custom chip, TT 4-1 header customized with ceramic coating and smoothed collector. Race cat. Makes 150 whp (about 175 crank, and I have dyno sheets to prove it). Just passed smog a week ago (legitimately, and with flying colors :) )

-Rebuilt head (by Jarod Legsdin, SCCH) has only 1k miles on it. It was installed with ARP head studs and an OEM ABF metal headgasket. 11:1 compression.

-Brand new OEM throttle body without the restrictor in it. New throttle cable as well. Feels crisp and tight :D

-Fully sorted cooling and oiling system. Setrab oil cooler, Mocal thermostatic sandwich plate (180F), Passat dual slim fans, Schrick baffled and finned oil pan, magnetic plug, VW windage tray, low temp fan switch, Redline water wetter.

-TT full stainless exhaust partially ceramic coated for heat retention. 1 resonator and 1 Borla muffler, sounds awesome!

-New OEM injectors

-New Bosch F6DSR (silver) spark plugs

-High conductivity plug wires (red)

-New distributor cap and rotor

-Upgraded battery wires, alternator wires, and ground wires

-New sensors

-New timing belt and tensioner

-Redline full synthetic 20W50 oil

-Almost everything in the engine that is a wear item has been replaced with a new OEM part.

SUSPENSION:

-Bilstein PSS9 coilovers, corner balanced

-Neuspeed 22mm front sway bar

-Neuspeed adjustable 28mm rear sway bar

-Eurosport front and rear strut tower braces

-New control arms in front with R32 bushings

-New (OEM VW) rear trailing arm with new bushings

-Ground control camber plates with 2 degrees of negative camber in front. (no cutting of the strut towers!)

-New rear shock mounts.

-Suspension has less than 3,000 miles on the oldest component (some components have much fewer miles on them)

BRAKES:

-Wilwood 10.1" front brakes (didn't want the larger and heavier 11" brakes for such a light car). These save a ton of weight!

-MK4 aluminum rear calipers (to save weight)

-Wilwood fast-street pads all around

-New rotors all around with GEOMET coating to prevent rust

-New MK3 knuckles to accomodate Wilwood brakes. These were lightened by having the ABS protrusion ground off (no ABS here ;) )

-North Viking brake cooling ducts

-Stainless steel and kevlar brake lines

-22mm aluminum master cylinder

-Motul RBF600 brake fluid

WHEELS/TIRES

-Comes with custom-ordered-from-Japan Rays Engineering Volk RE30 wheels painted (by the factory) in Gunmetal. 15x7" with an offset of +28mm. These wheels weigh 9.2 pounds each.

-Toyo R888 R-compounds size 205/50/15

-BMW black lug bolts and BMW black wheel locks (for that stealth look)

-I have special-edition Rays center caps if desired.

-I have a set of completely refurbished (like new) gold-faced BBS RS001s that can be purchased with the car (or without). They have zero miles on them since being refurbished (but have been mounted to the car a couple times). They have brand new Toyo R1R tires on them and can be swapped for the Volks for an additional $1000 (or sold in addition to the Volks for $2500 more). They look great, but (obviously) aren't as light as the Volks and are harder to clean!

PICTURES OF OPTIONAL BBS WHEELS:

SOME OLDER PICTURES OF THE CAR WITH THE BBS INSTALLED

TRANSMISSION:

-Every component of the shifter is brand new.

-USRT shift linkage with custom teflon-lined heim joints. Very solid shifting, excellent feel

-Rebuilt transmission with new synchros and seals. New reverse gear.

-Autotech Wavetrac differential

-Sachs Sport clutch ($$$) link

-Sachs Sport pressure plate ($$$) link

-Eurospec lightweight flywheel

-Techtonics HD motor mounts and transmission mount

-New clutch cable

-New pedal pads

-Redline MT90 gear oil

-The oldest component listed above has 2,000 miles on it

EXTERIOR

-Original paint

-New OEM grille

-New OEM E-Code headlights, relayed with 80/100 watt bulbs

-New OEM high beams, relayed with 100 watt bulbs

-New badges front and rear

-New antenna

-New door handles

-New windshield washer nozzles and hosing (front and rear)

-OEM Hella US spec half smoked tail lights (optional, I have the originals). These cost me over $400

-New third high-mount brake light.

-LED bulbs in all brake lights. VERY bright, and turn on instantly for safety.

INTERIOR:

-Original Recaro interior

-New old stock (period correct) Italvolanti steering wheel. (I have the original steering wheel too).

-Fischer CD box

-VW Motorsport shift knob and boot combo

-Duostyling gauges for Voltage, Oil Pressure, and Oil Temperature. They are very stealth and very cool! :)

-Smoked dome light

-New headliner

-All LED interior lighting besides dash (wanted to keep it looking original)

-New AC compressor. *AC needs a charge

-Alpine stereo system with MB quart, Boston Acoustics, and Polk Audio speakers. All purchased within the last 5 years. Infinity Sub with custom enclosure (can be removed if desired). System sounds great, but the engine sounds better

GENERAL:

-Clean Title

-No Accidents

So those are the nitty gritty details. I am sure I am forgetting a lot of stuff as I have poured my heart and soul into this car over the last six years. Only the absolute best components were used in building this car up to where it is now. I did not skimp on anything. I am very sad to see her go, but I must move on (there are too many cars out there for me to only stick with one!)

I am expecting to get in the $13,000 range for this car with all the extras thrown in. The car is located in Orange County, CA. Thanks very much for your time! :peace:

Out of curiosity, do you have a video of this on youtube autocrossing? This is an amazing car with all the right things done to it.
Yes I do. I have taken this car to two autocrosses. It did very well at both events.

At one event, I was bested by only a Caterham 7 and a Lotus Exige.

Man your car sounds absolutely amazing. I wish you the best of luck selling it, but I say keep it. This is one hell of a ride you got. I wish I had the opportunity to ride passenger in this thing.

Thanks for the compliments!

I want to keep it, but it's not realistic for me to have three cars (when I buy my Porsche), and it will be hard to move up North. Trust me, it will be extremely hard for me to let her go, I even had a bad dream about it last night! :banghead:

Booooo Photobucket
Apparently, my car has been picked up by Bring-A-Trailer.com and Photobucket emailed me telling me the bandwidth for my account was exceeded.

Is there a way for me to host pictures without bandwidth restrictions?
