Just pulled the suspension off my 97 VR6 GTI. The car has 130k miles on it, but I doubt the suspension is original. It's in pretty good shape, just a little dirty which I can remedy. I'll post up pictures after work today with whatever markings I can find. There is a VW logo on one of the labels so I'm pretty sure its an OEM replacement if anything.
Asking $80 picked up or + shipping if not local. I am willing to ship if you are willing to pay for it. I'll include the strut/shock mounts if you want. I think I have some new strut bearings sitting around too. I'm getting a roommate so can't have bulky crap like this sitting around anymore :-(
