Have 2002 NB Sport, have used marvel mystery oil in the gas in my previous cars. How about for my 1.8T.

Wouldn't recommend it. Not necessary, could be harmful.
Only additive I would consider is Techron (Chevron Fuel Injector Cleaner), every 3K-5K miles depending on your driving habits.

Isn't the Marvel stuff supposed to restore compression in older cars? Why would you need it in a 2K beetle?

Only thing I'd put in is some injector cleaner.

Re: Fuel Additives (Green-Golf)

The reason I used it in all my other cars even when new is it is supposed to clean the injectors, clean & keep clean the carbon in the cylinders & lubricate the rings. Never had any problems with any engines while using it but this is my 1st turbo.

Re: Fuel Additives (Bundaho)

2001 Passat 1.8T manual say fuel injection cleaners are not recommended. That is a darn good reason not to start messing around with them. Gas has detergents in it anyways that cleans that stuff up.
