I have reciently had my fuel filter replaced on my 95 Golf III 8v. When the job was done I had about 1/4 tank left of fuel. I waited for it to get to red and filled it up. It took the gauge over 25 minutes to reach the point of reading "Full". After that first 25 minutes of the gauge moving. I can turn the car off, turn it back on, and it goes right up like it originally did - in less then 5 seconds.
What caused it the first time around to take so long? Will it take this long every time I fill up again or was it a one time thing?
