Is there a difference betwen the 1993-1995 Vr6 Engines and the 1996-1997 Engines in terms of Fuel pressure regulators?
I have Heard the is a differnce between 4bar on the early type and 3.5 bar on the later??
Anyway if not is there a fuel pressure regulator that fits in teh stock postion that can up the pressure if desired??

Earlier had 4.0 bar newer has 3.0 bar they both fit in the same fact location I have a 5.0 bar. The only thing is your ECU is mapped to run at the size for the appropriate year. Unless you have a chip or forced induction

Have you got a 5 bar in the Stock position??
Where did you source this from??
Re: Fuel Pressure Regulator?? (keith_r)

yeah could i put a 5 bar in my 95 vr and they come on s4's

Why use a regulator that can only give you one pressure spec. We have a fully adjustable regulator that is a complete bolt in & allows full range adjustment from 25psi to 100psi (2.bar to 8. bar) It's has a simple adjustment screw with a lock nut. The pressure adjustments are very fine, one pound at a time if neccesary.

Take a look:

They sell for $195.00. Saves your from buying 2 or 3 regulators if you want to play with different fuel pressures.

You could buy a Cartech rising-rate FMU for that much, which lets you choose the static pressure AND a rate of rise based on boost!!

I didn't notice a gain or loss from using it. FI people would benefit most unless your running lean for some reason.

Or you could buy an Aeromotive RRFPR and have your OE fuel rail modified for less than that. Then you could have REAL control of the static pressure and have a 1:1 rising rate if you're running boost.

$195 for a slightly modified stock regulator is truly a ripoff.......
