A flaw in the computer that controls the fuel pump in 2006-2010 Volkswagen Passats and 2009-2016 CCs is leading to the recall of 280,000 vehicles in America.

My fuel pump failed and the car stalled in October last year. Luckily, it was replaced under warranty

Anybody comment whether you get any warning when the pump fails? Can it be limp home driven? Doubtful...But is in tow truck time only ?

The EPC light comes on and the car stalls (It becomes more difficult to accelerate). Car drives at around ~20/30mph and so, I had to drive home that way that night and also the next morning to the dealership to get it fixed
