i took the fuel sender off and looked inside the tank, i see the where the fuel pump outlet tube goes to but there isnt a sock at the end of it. is there suppose to be one?
Here is what is happening,,,,,my car seems like its starving for fuel, sometime its runs good and sometimes it doesnt...i removed the fuel pump out let hose and fuel did not come out...im think either the tube is pluged or i thought maybe the sock was cloged....any help is appreciated thanks

CIS does not have an Intank Fuel Pump
the fuel level sender Does Not Have a "sock" filter
there is a baffle filter which pulls out and can be cleaned

probally starving for fuel because your tank outlet line is clogged
or the baffle is clogged

did you actually check the fuel pressure at the distributor?
it should be 68-78psi according to proceedure
if it is below this then you need a new fuel pump

-the tank is 2 years old but i do see some rust on the tubes.
the fuel pump is new too

i pulled the fuel level sender out to look inside and it has one pump that sits outside of the tank

how do i take the baffle out?

reach into the tank with a hook tool and pull straight up

its an aftermarket tank, will it still work? the baffle just seems bigger than the fuel level sender hole...
