Hay gang,
I was wondering if you could help me out with this. I had a BOV on my car before, but I didn't want to mount it the same way, because I was using a cheap rubber plumbing connector that couldn't handle the pressure and it would blow holes in itself.
What I had done was chopped the boost return pipe down to where the ISV goes into it (I have a boost check valve, not an ISV re-route). I added a crankcase breather, and then I had a rubber 2" to 1" reducer coupling and attached the BOV there.
I need a more solid way to connect the BOV to my boost return pipe. Also, if i decide to eliminate the boost return pipe all together, I'm wondering where to route my ISV. (I saw someone in here who re-routed this, but I don't recall where or how).
I DO NOT want to mount the BOV on my IC pipes!!!
The other thing I was thinking was...what if I capped off the boost return pipe with a plastic disc and some JB Weld, then cut a hole and mount the BOV in the tip of the boost return pipe? You think this would work?
Honestly, the 2" to 1" coupling would work fine if i could find a tough silicone hose rather than the cheap plumbing stuff.
Ideas? Opinions? Let's hear 'em! I'm putting her back together in a week, so I don't have much more time to buy my parts! Thanks guys! http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
