hey everyone....has anybody done a G60 swap into an A2? is it very hard to do? how much work is involved? i am asking because i have the opprotunity to buy a g60 parts car for $900 and i was thinking of doing the swap. is this a wise thing to do? let me know

I've done two of them now- they are easy. I made my money back and some profit on each. I bought my first parts Corrado that was rolled with 88k miles for $750. I bought me second that was rear ended and didn't have good brakes on it for $500. My Jetta can be viewed on http://www.jwelty.com under picture>fastvws>something else.

Hey slick (no pun)....you let him know all that and offer answers to just the easiest of his questions?
If I could tell you exactly what is involved, I would. I checked this out awhile ago, and if you have a parts car, then you're set. Now to see if someone will help you on the how....

very easy to do
central electric2??
only difficult thing is locating the intercooler, i don't recomend the g60 one, too little. i used a audi turbo intercooler

I am in the process of doing this swap my only problem left is finding out what to hook this 7 wires up to in my 86 golf. Do any of you guys know?
