I've found last fall that every once in a while when I pop my trunk, my gas cap pops open too (and yes, I'm toggling the correct switch
) But now that the weather is colder (could be a coincidence) it seems to be getting worse. when I get out of the house in the morning, it'll be open. I'm wondering if some moisture around the edges of it is freezing, and the ice is causing it to pop open. Plus there have been a couple of times where it just hasn't wanted to shut....i'll push on it, but it will just keep popping open. Any ideas? I'm probably going to head to the dealer to get them to look at it, but has anybody else had a problem with their gas cap?
ps. I'm talking about the flap on your rear fender...not the actually the cap that you screw in.
