There is now an introductory price for the BMC CDA intake for the 1.8T, 2.0, and TDI engines. The usual price of intake is $229 will sell for $198. There is a thread in the 1.8T forum that gives the results of a dyno comparing different filters on a 1.8T engine. Here is a link http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=154109 Similar gains for the 2.0 and TDI engines are also guaranteed.
The intake is used by Audi, BMW, and Porsche owners. It has proven results and reputation with those owners. Also used by many racing teams in Europe.
If interested please call the The Racestore at 330-628-0155 and ask for Ralf.
Or order direct at http://www.theracestore.com/Merchan...TGY&Store_Code=TRS&Category_Code=auvwproducts
The intake has a 30 day money back guarantee

Re: GB: BMC CDA Intake for 1.8T, 2.0, and TDI (bluejetta95)

how can the same gain be guaranteed? won't the intake make more hp/tq for a turbo car than a N/A car?
also, i read that different intakes were tested on the TDI and none had noticible hp or tq gain, but this one has a 14hp, 7ft/lbs tq gain?

exact question from me......i want a intake for my TDI, but most people say there is no power gain.....i would like to see some numbers on a TDI, and not a 1.8T
if i see proof for power gains on a TDI, then ill be in!!!
untill then, im gonna wait....
Re: GB: BMC CDA Intake for 1.8T, 2.0, and TDI (Zuber Speed)

By the guarantee we stand by the product. That is what the 30 day guarantee is for. If your not happy just return it.
The box utilizes the stock snorkle or if u really want you can run the hose down to the bumper. There a lot of happy people who have installed the intake on their 1.8T and even on the 2.0. We have just now added the TDI's to the list. If you are curious or have any questions I urge you to call Ralf at 330-628-0155 as he can answer your questions better.

FYI- My bracket and all related parts are now here, and tomorrow should allow me time to install it! Finally! Stock AWP and CDA- should prove for some interesting insight. You'll love the look, and Ralf at The Race Store is great to work with.

Re: GB: BMC CDA Intake for 1.8T, 2.0, and TDI (BoraSport)

i would still like to know about any HP gains, as even the Viper CAI had very little gain...
im in it for the sound!, as WE all know the TDI aint going nowhere

that is alot of money to be spending for sound.....

Re: GB: BMC CDA Intake for 1.8T, 2.0, and TDI (Zuber Speed)

Does the CDA effect any of the stock sensors?
Re: GB: BMC CDA Intake for 1.8T, 2.0, and TDI (2001Bora)

It should give you an increase in performance and in throttle response. Of course there should be some sound with it.
Also the BMC CDA should't affect any of the stock sensors.
Re: GB: BMC CDA Intake for 1.8T, 2.0, and TDI (bluejetta95)

Installed mine today, and just ran around the block a few times. I really like the sound, real mean sound, louder Pssshhheeeww! when you get off the throttle. I had to break out the Dremel to customize the mounting bracket, but once that was over, no sweat.
One thing- the stock snorkel is kind of oblong, and I ran out of sunlight, so I just have it aimed up for some airflow. I didn't remove the stock plastic runner from the old airbox to the headlight assy, which seems to be the problem. I'll eventually run that flex hose to the lower left grille for max airflow, but without it, more power, throttle response, and sound are all pleasantly improved!

Re: GB: BMC CDA Intake for 1.8T, 2.0, and TDI (VWTattoo)

Is that free shipping if ordered before Friday? Also would anyone mind explaining how this filter box and snorkel work differently than the stock airbox and snorkel? I understand the heat soak idea. But is there any reason to believe this set-up will have less restrictions than the stock air box and high flow filter? Thanks.
Re: GB: BMC CDA Intake for 1.8T, 2.0, and TDI (Al Bob)

The free shipping deal is over, sorry. The price os the CDA is still $198. Anything you would like to know about the intake is located on this thread from the 1.8T forum.
