Hey Guys,
What do you use to remove old wax that rubbed onto the black trim on your cars. I used to use Black Again and can't find the product no longer. It worked great and took the wax residue right off.
Does the Eagle Detailer Mists remove the residue...permanently?
Let me know wasssup.

Re: Get the Wax off the Black Trim - What Do U Use? (Mario Maverick)

I think "Mothers" has a similar product still out on the market "Back to Black" or something like that. Although, I have to admit that it mostly covers up the problem as opposed to getting rid of it.
Thanks,
Peter

Rub Peanut Butter on the trim?
Great..use Creamy or Super Chunky?
Now I know why they call you Fooey.

Fooey is not pulling your leg. Peanut butter works. Seriously. I believe it's the oils in it that removes the wax residue and restores faded trim.
Once it's cleaned up, I would follow up with a good protectant like 303.

Use Leather and Plastic Cleaner by Malco and a scrub brush. The product will eat way the wax residue and is safe for the car paint. Try to find it at a detailer suipply shop or search the net for Malco. If yo live in NJ I can hook you up or email me and I can get you the number to order. OR try an all purpose cleaner with a nylon scrub brush with a handle. Dont be affraid to scrub the trim.
