Does anyone know how to install those indiglo gauges? I just bought one the other day and the instructions are pretty complicated. I need help!

it's not just plug and play? I'd say only difficult part (tedious, rather) would be tearing the dash apart (steering wheel gotta come off) to yank the gauges out.

You do not need to pull the stearing wheel in a MKIII to pull the cluster out. It will slide out behind the wheel, just be careful not to scrath your wheel up.

oh cool....i had a hard time in my '86 GTi when i changed the gauges so I yanked the steering wheel off. Guess MK IIIs aren't the same. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

so it should be easy to put in the gauge? i just have to pull out the panel and replace the old one with the new one? does anyone have specific instructions to do this or is that all I really have to do?

uhmm, after u pull out the cluster you gotta take off the clear cover (obviously). unscrew the screws in the back of the cluster and u should be able 2 take the cover off. i fkn cracked it trying to pry it off from the cluster and had 2 get another one. oh yah, just when it seems you got it easy, the damn gauge is riveted onto the cluster! - thought i'd help u out. good luck

what about the wiring part? do i just disconnect the harness on the panel and connect the new one or do I have to do other things to it? Also, do I have to do anything with the needles on the gauge?
