I was wondering if the GLX style cluster with the temp/mpg etc screen will wire up to a 2001 wolfsburg jetta? Will all the options work?
Or will the GLX climate control unit hook up? What wiring is needed?
any help would be appreciated

I think that it should, as long as the year of the car is some where in the same range...

Not sure about the cluster, but I know that it'll be a pain in the butt to retrofit climatronic into a car that doesn't have it. Not only does it cost a lot, but you have to deal with wiring and sensor issues. IMHO, not worth it unless you got money to burn and time to waste.

Short answer: Possibly
Long answer: Well you could but...
Climatronic includes dozens of sensors and mechanisms. People have done it, but you would basically need a cadaver in the form of a wrecked GLX and lots of time and patience.
P.S. a search would have yielded the same answer

the cluster will wire up | you would need:
- a wiper stalk to control the mfa
- a temperature sensor to take the outside temperature
- as for the wiring im not to sure about (which type and of what you would need)
the climate control will also wire up | you would need:
just as ReflexSilverVW had said

aside from the sensors and mechanisms you would need the ENTIRE heater core
***a few users on here have done it though.
