Re: GLX - Why does only one door have a key? (John222)

the cars that came with keyless had the lock on the passenger door key lock deleted. Most cars now only have a lock cylinder on the drivers door. Many newer cars dont event have them on the trunk.

All of the '98's came with keyless. Im not sure, but Id imagine a '97 GLX should have it also.
Do you know how to remove your headlight switch? If so, pull it out, and shine a flashlight in down below it. You should see two little boxes bolted together. If one is white plastic, you have keyless. You should be able to just buy a remote and program it. Search for that, there is PLENTY of info on that here.

my friend had a 97 glx and it didnt have keyless but it did have a lock on the passenger side, which i would much rather have than keyless. i dont even use the keyless.

Re: FV-QR (new2)

I'll have to do an Ebay search to see if I can find a good price for a remote. The other day the temperature dropped and my drivers door lock froze. That's when I discovered I only had one door with a key. Ended up being late for work.
