Take out your stock ECU end copy down the numbers on the Lable .That should be all the info off the ECU you will need.Keep in mind you will need a VAG tool to ADAPT tyhe new ECU to your car every time you swap back and fourth.Keep an eye on the classifieds i have seen ECUs on there for 300$ and less.
