i'm taking my car in for it's 20,000 mile service. Do you guy's think the dealer will freak out if I have a cai, exhaust, and my car is lowered? I also got something in the mail about an emissions recall? whats that about?

It's been my experience that the dealer frickin' hates CAI's, so I would throw your airbox back in if I were you. The exhaust and the drop might cause you some grief if you have warranty repairs, but probably not if you are simply getting some maintenance done. Really depends on the dealer, since some are mod-friendly, and some are goose-stepping mod Nazi's.

I'm not looking forward to putting my airbox in. Has anyone ever dealt with capostrano vw in san juan capistrano,ca? I'll ask the so cal forum too.

Bought and service my GTI there. They are Autotech friendly- including autotech chipping. I have HEXCOM as well.
