Re: Golf/GTi IV front alignment (CyberGTi)

Normally, there is no camber/caster adjustment specified for VW's but there is usually a small amount of play in the front strut bolts which will make a difference. You can purchase a set of camber bolts from places like Autotech which will allow you a couple degrees of camber adjustment when you lower your car. The rears have no adjustments and if the rear is off, you may have some serious problems.

quote:

I was told by a shop technician that our car only have toe in/out adjustment for the front. He claims that the camber and caster are not adjustable. Any ideas?

Sort of true; if you are really interested email me and I can explain to you how to compensate camber in front and rear toe. BTW there are no cam kits for mkIV since it doesn't use a conventional strut on it, you could but it would comprimise the integrity of the vehicle. [email protected]
