Golf/GTI rear wiper mod: does N-E-1 know some1 w/a Toyota Highlander?

I was behind a Toyota Highlander this morning at the drive-up ATM and noticed it has a slick-looking rear wiper arm/blade and thought "Hmmm...that sure looks like about the right size, shape, and angle as my rear wiper!"
I know that our friends across the pond (e.g.: Cullen) have used some Fiat rear wiper arm/blade (Fiat Punto?) on their A2 hatches, but since we don't get Fiats, I'm now wondering if the Highlander's rear wiper arm will fit on the spindle of our A2s and if the arm/blade is an OK setup for clearing the window w/o hitting anything?
Does any of you Golf/GTI owners out there know someone with a Highlander and wanna swap parts and let us know if it'll work?
