Re: golf hood on jetta ? (Benny The Jetta)

uhm as far as i know they jsut bolt on, no bending or anything. i didnt need to bend anything when i swapped front ends and i put my gti hood down on the jetta headlights (not catching the whole latch though). it looks ok but if you want boser look just get the right hood b/c it does leave gaps.

it bolts up

i need to know how to make the golf hood fit over the lights and make it look like the car above

The hood needs to be modified.
A Big Fucking Hammer will be your best friend.
You just need to bang the underside of the hood where that support railing is in order to be able to clear the edge of the headlights and the grill.

I would use a big mallet or a deadblow mallet so it didn't jack the paint
but this guy is right
I personally think it looks dope
most people don't agree though.

just like that!
sorry to jack the pic

haha thats my car

hammer works as does just cutting recesses on the underside of the hood to allow clearance for the headlights/grill. It's a pain

i like it but it its a little to subtle for me, i'd rather just have full boser.

the subtlety is what gets me
I'm not for gaudy or aftermarket/modified looking parts

It looks awesome over the grille, but the gap over the headlights is pretty bad. If you could fill it in, it would look great http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Is this how the super bosers are made? If you took the Golf hood and put it on a Jetta front end and then added the Golf boser, wouldn't it come down farther then just the Jetta boser? It seems like it would.
