Hey, if anyone saw my other post/knows me, you know that my 16v 2.0 is FUBAR
After a lot of consideration (possible VRT, G60, even R32 swaps
) I have decided to go with the ever-popular MK4 1.8t.
I just ordered the engine from bwautodismantlers.com (sounds exceptionally sketchy, but they came under good recommendation and proved themselves exceptionally knowledgeable) and it should be arriving in the next week/week and a half.
My friends and I will be swapping over a maximum period of one week
Needless to say, I'll be buying them lots of beer and we'll be working our asses off.
I have a lot of interesting ideas to make this swap truely unique (dash mounted mk4 ignition, chopped mk4 gauge cluster, hatch mounted battery, intercooler relocation, etc.) so keep an eye on the thread in the coming weeks.
