OT: Got my PhatNoise today

This thing is amazing. Took me like 10 min to install in the car and another 10 min install cradle and configure software. Thanks to this forum for information about sale on DrewParts site!

It's also very nice looking device, I wouldn't mind to have it mounted inside somewhere and not hidden in the trunk

But again, you don't wanna flash it for thieves

i have a gti and i would like to mount my phatbox in the compartment where my cd changer is sopposed too go

You "might" be able to squeeze it in.. but it's bigger than the factory changer. The dealer wasn't able to easily install it in that location.. Some modifications will need to be made.

No, I mean removing the hard drive from the Phatnoise when it's installed in that space.. I think it'd be tight in there.

is the phatbox mounted in the sam ebracket as the vw cd changer in the trunk ? then i wouldnt need to buy a new bracket !
