hey i got a major problem with my 1.8t. if i let it sit and idle for more than about 50 seconds it starts to smoke. the longer it idles the more it starts to smoke. if u know what it could be let me know.

is it burning oil? do you have a boost gauge? are you losing a little boost when driving? i have the same problem and I am pretty sure its the PCV valve.

it is coming from my exhaust and it is a blue color, i will try replacing my pcv.

yeah C-Diddy IM'ed me and saud this:
"Gotta call today. They didn't get to it until late, but they think its the head gasket or maybe even a cracked head. Rip down tomorrow under warrenty. Good luck with yours. "

Ok. Maybe the head gasket, i truly doubt that its a cracked head. I think i would have other problems than running rich when i idle for 5 minutes. But if thats all a cracked head is doing, wow

I would have to aggree and say the PCV valve as well. At idle the vacuum is the highest and if it is clogged will pressurize the case and force oil past the rings.
