i went to mufflex yesterday and had them weld a dump tube into my test pipe. also had them remove the resonator to the test pipe, and replace it with 2.5 ss. flanged of course. so no more taper. true 3" to 2.5" cb.
the set up is not at all louder than before that i can tell. on the butt dyno it feels nice. i will be going to the track soon, so i will give real results.
ps. have to shout out mike p. for the dump tube idea

Hey! Stop by my shop one day so I can check out the work! I may just do the same thing to my exhaust....ya know since I'm goin T-28 and all. Hey, just for kicks, why don't you ask James if he can do another block 120 on your car???

cool mike.. how did mufflex position the dumptube? facing straightdown or towards the side? i have mine pointing towards the driversside at a 45degree angle. See you and pat in the 13s!

Sup Mike....I actually have two Grease Monkeys...one on Rt22 in North Plainfield, the other on Rt 1 in Edison. I'm at the Rt22 store 80% of the time...it's busier. Gimme a call there at (908)755-4666. I can't wait to see the work! BTW when do you wanna do the downpipe???
