I have upsolute. Its so smooth that I barely notice the extra power. I just expect it to be there now. The difference between chipped and stock really is as dramatic as they say.

There is no question that its a good value.
One caveat. Be prepared to buy a better DV becuase you will notice some surging and occasional hesitation if the stock DV starts to fail. Mine did within a month. Once I fixed that there was a marked improvement in acceleration.

at first i seemed to have some surging issues...but it seemed to smooth out with a little time (maybe i just wasn't used to the power increase). i'm still running the stock dv without problems. use the best fuel available, i use 94 chevron and it works great. for what you pay and knowing that your up rep will flash you back to stock at any time for free is a good way to go. otherwise you'll have a bunch of stuff permanently soldered onto your ecu.
its very driveable, if you drive conservatively you barely notice it but when you drive more aggressive its awesome. second gear is savage and highway passing power improves too.

also if you're planning to do more mods the up guys can set you up with other goodies for good prices.

the chip is awesome in my '02 gti

the upsolute support is great

Love my Up chip: 204WHP/236WTQ! No complaints, I beat 98 Mustang GT (looked stock) lastnight from a 40 punch and SMOKED him all the way to 100.....nuff said.
