We all know the feeling, drank too much coffee, stuck in traffic, not a place to go in sight, and the closer you get to your destination, the worse it gets.. you are writhing in pain trying to hold it as hard as you can, pure torture..

any stories? relieving yourself in a bottle, pulling to the side of the road? *gasp* letting it out in your seat  As for myself, I think i am methodically stretching my bladder and strengthening my, eh.. muscles, every morning.

I really need to cut the 30 oz of coffee in the morning...

On a road trip with my family and my dad did not want to pullover for me to go wee. Mom gave me a squirt or sprite bottle to piss in and i did. Just before we got to our destination my older sister took a swig of it and spit it out saying it tasted gross. I think she may have been sleeping in the car when I did my business in the bottle.

I have a story for you. And my story will be your story if you don't stop.

KIDNEY STONES.

I made the commute from my house to NYC everyday for 4 years and by the time I was pulling into the garage near school, I was nearly doubled over in pain. Sometimes I'd break a sweat going to the bathroom I was that full.

Fast forward...sitting at work one day and a pain like nothing else I've ever felt just attacks my right side. It felt like I tore every muscle in my back, except the pain would NOT go away. Go to the hospital, white blood cell count is at 18,000. Normal levels are between 5 and 10,000. 5mm kidney stone in my right kidney. Seriously the worst pain...EVAR.

Have an apple in the morning. They'll give you basically the same amount of "wake up" nutrients you need. Hold the coffee until you're near a stall. Please trust me on this one ;)

there has only been one time where i've really had to go while on a roadtrip and i relieved myself in a bottle, thankfully i stopped just before i overflowed

On a non car related note, i was at a Wu-Tang concert a few years ago and i had been drinking all night. Naturally, i had to use the bathroom really badly. I was at the front of the crowd and there was no way i was losing my spot so i did what i had to do. Took my empty jack and coke cup, put it in my pants and relieved myself into that. I felt really bad when the cup got kicked over though:facepalm:

I understand that pain all too well. :(

I have 2 kidney stones I'm dealing with myself. One 3mm on the left side and a 6mm on the right. I'm looking at surgery in the next couple weeks because they don't want to pass on their own.

Last night's traffic jam in Seattle is the worst I've ever experienced. 2 hours to go 2 miles. Finding a suitable restroom was completely out of the question. I pulled into someone's driveway and walked behind a tree. I saw others doing the same. Thankfully, the homeowner didn't appear to be home.

also if you ever need to drop a load during a road trip stop at a nice hotel and act like you are staying there cause they usually have a very nice restroom on the main floor that almost never gets used and is usually very clean.

This guy knows. I've done this too. Walk in like you're a guest going to your room and drop a bomb.

So to recap
1. Go to hotel, walk in confident
2. Drop a bomb
3. ???
4. Profit

This is very good advice.

Morning coffee is a very hard habit to break out of, but it becomes almost totally unnecessary if you

a) get decent sleep (i.e. get checked out for sleep apnea, and do something about it if you have it!)
b) eat some slow-digesting foods like oatmeal
c) have some straight or lightly-flavoured water

(Easier said than done, yeah I know, but the difference in energy levels and ability to focus is amazing)

:( I got a 3mm and a 5mm too. I think I pee'd one a couple a days ago :)

The pain is just....."I am gonna die right now, I just know so". I was shaking uncontrolably from so much pain. :(

As dumb as it is, "public urination" as they call it is illegal. However I have never hezitated to spray the ditch with my fluids when I had to go. So what if the passing car sees my john; as if they've never seen one. I totally understand when I see some guy letting his blatter loose on the side of the highway. "when ya gotta go, ya gotta go".

Once in a limo, my cousin let one loose in a whiskey bottle.

#2 however, not the same. I manage to plan around that and I haven't had any incedent related to that...yet...knock on wood.
